Rain held off long enough in Jefferson for the Greene County/Paton-Churdan homecoming parade to be held Friday afternoon as scheduled.
The parade was followed by coronation staged on the balcony on the south side of the courthouse. Trey Hinote and Samantha Behne were elected as Greene County homecoming king and queen.
Paton-Churdan held its coronation with a packed house in the P-C gymnasium Sunday. Megan Carey and Clayton Smith were chosen as queen and king there.
Ram football fans are reminded that due to a stormy weather forecast, the varsity football game will begin at 5 pm against the Atlantic Trojans. The freshman game is cancelled.
